When I was in high school they called it “commercial
art” and I swore I would steer clear from it and stick to my beloved drawing
and painting.
Eventually, I found the beauty and creativity of letters, letter
forms, and the organization of information as I entered the University
of Houston’s Graphic Communications program. Nine years later and I'm
still designing for print but I've also added web design to my gambit. Two years ago I
made the transition to tableless web design through XHTML and CSS. With that under my belt, I'm now becoming a bit
mega-nerdy as I attempt web development!
2008 brought me a great new opportunity as I began working for Reed College as a web designer. I love it!
